In response to Rick Santorum connecting Boston's "liberalism" with the Roman Catholic Church pedophile scandal

MY Take

Pedophilia has NOTHING to do with normal sexual morals, homosexuality, or promiscuity Senator. It's a sickness, often created BY molesting. Only a fool or a politician seeking notoriety would make such a false and misleading claim. You appear to be both. People could be chaste everywhere but the bedroom, with ZERO homosexuality in a community, and the Boston priests would have STILL molested children.

This didn't just happen in Boston. Orange County California, the most conservative, religious, Republican county in all of California just had it's diocese settle it's sexual claims for a cool $13 million. What is your explanation for that? Did good Christian values and conservatism lead to children being touched? Does God really care if the Priest is a Democrat or Republican? Were they praying too much?

Time for the nut jobs who use the word "moral" for immoral purposes (looking at you Senator Dick) to be told America will not stand for this divisive crap anymore. It's time for those who believe they are somehow superior or better than others to stop trying to force their religious morality on others. Religion is a personal choice. One's set of values are a personal choice. This is exactly why we have a secular government. Laws can be reviewed, but any arsehole with an internet connection and $10 dollars can proclaim themselves a Christian minister and start demanding people do things the way they want in the name of God. Any Senator can easily spin-up support in their state by making an completely asinine and ignorant statement that appeals to these people.

Those whacky guys called the Taliban took Islam to the extreme just like Senator Dick want's to take Christianity to the extreme. People who didn't believe in Islam and even Muslims who interpreted Islam differently were labelled "kaffir" by the Taliban. That means damned/apostate/unbeliever for us laymen. If you got that label, you had a good chance of ending up with a bullet in your head or suffocated in a cargo container. Senator Rick espouses the same brand of us vs. them hatred. Follow the path he wants to lead you down...Liberal = non-Christian = sexual deviance = child molester.

This simply isn't the case. Sexual predators have no political affiliation, but Senators considering Presedential runs in 2008 do. Fortunately, his constituency has other ideas.
